The Oceanic Triptych
Three paintings exploring the rhythm beneath the surface — where stillness, movement and emotion coexist.
Undercurrent Vortex
Layers of deep blues and turquoise swirl with quiet intensity while delicate white arcs reveal the unseen movement beneath the surface. The painting captures the delicate balance between serenity and chaos, echoing the hidden emotional currents we carry within.
Hushed Waters
Softer brushstrokes and flowing layers of colour suggest the calm before the tide begins to shift. Gentle movement and blended textures invite quiet reflection, offering a peaceful pause within the series.
Silent Vortex
Circular gestures and richly layered textures complete the journey, revealing hidden depth beneath a tranquil surface. Energy gradually releases into stillness, bringing the triptych to a thoughtful close.
I used texture to unify these pieces, creating a sense of rhythm and suggesting light breaking through the surface, with moments of stillness held within the motion. Together, the three paintings explore how calm and turbulence can exist side by side, mirroring both the ever-changing sea and our own emotional landscapes.
